Time to start thinking about the 2023 season

29 June 2022

Now that 99% of NZ kiwifruit has been harvested for 2022, some of our top kiwifruit customers have already completed their winter prune scans to get a jump on their crop management for the new season.

The video below shows our actual workflow to process 1.9 Ha of Gold for a Bay of Plenty customer.

This density map uses colouration that highlights the highest density areas that should be considered for rework to minimise crop overload.

Field scanning 1.9 Ha: 28 minutes
Post-processing: 14 minutes
Images processed: 27,300 (RGB +XYZ)
Winter buds counted: 911,000

All processing in-house; no external services required.
